GOULART


	A branding-focused Head of Design from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with over 15 years of experience building and scaling global brands through structured systems and creative leadership.

My work sits at the intersection of brand strategy, design systems, guidelines and implementation leadership, focused on creating coherent visual languages that scale across markets while maintaining clarity and integrity. Strong brands are not just designed, but consistent and structured.

I hold a degree in Graphic Design, complemented by advanced studies in branding, leadership, and strategy. My career has evolved from hands-on design practice into leading global brand systems and multidisciplinary teams, with a focus on master brand development and long-term brand stewardship.

Today, as Head of Design at Careem, I lead an international team responsible for evolving and protecting the company’s core visual language through scalable design systems, frameworks, and guidelines that translate strategy into usable tools across all touchpoints and markets.

Alongside this, I co-founded Genau, a flexible creative model built around assembling tailored multidisciplinary teams for branding projects. This allows me to work with a trusted global network of specialists, shaping teams around each client’s specific needs, from strategy to execution.


I’m deeply passionate about branding, about the power of consistency, the beauty of typography, and the elegance of minimalism. My work blends strategic thinking with creative precision, ensuring every detail reflects the essence of the brand.


Throughout my career, I’ve guided brands from concept to execution, coordinating creative teams and managing every stage of the process, from design systems and visual identities to packaging and corporate design. I believe great brands are built through collaboration, clarity, and a relentless commitment to design excellence.

The Everything App&#38;nbsp;︎A refreshed identity for a local icon.


SOLUTIONThe original Careem brand held an iconic place in the region, especially its distinctive wink logo, a core part of our DNA. We kept this as the foundation of our evolved identity and built a completely new design system that honoured our heritage while reflecting who we are today. The goal was to create a visual identity that felt fresh, modern, and undeniably Careem.


EXECUTIONWe began by defining a brand architecture that could house 20+ services across four categories: Go, Eat, Get, and Pay. From there, we developed a set of meaningful shapes that formed the base of our new design language, including a bespoke typeface, refined colour palette, art direction, iconography, and tone of voice.
MY ROLEI moved to Dubai four years ago after being invited to lead Careem’s rebranding project that’s how my journey with the company began. The project was developed in partnership with DesignStudio London, and I was deeply involved in every stage of the process, from concept to implementation.


After the DesignStudio︎ handover, I took full responsibility for creating the Careem Brand Guideline and implementing the rebrand internally. I worked closely with the in-house design and marketing teams to translate the new identity into real applications, ensuring coherence, clarity, and consistency across all brand touchpoints. Ambev invited Genau to help redefine and strengthen the foundations of Guaraná Antarctica, one of Brazil’s most beloved and iconic brands. The project centred on the development of a brand book designed to capture the brand’s unique cultural relevance and authentic connection to Brazilian identity.

As we immersed ourselves in the brand, it became clear that the opportunity extended beyond documenting existing assets. We identified the need for a more distinctive typographic system that could better express the spontaneous, original, and unmistakably Brazilian spirit of Guaraná. The solution was a custom typographic approach built through the combination of different type styles and weights, creating a more flexible and expressive system inspired by the way Brazilians naturally mix influences, adapt, and create something uniquely their own.

A key contribution of the project was reimagining the iconic red frame, a long standing element within the brand’s visual universe. For the first time, it was proposed as an active storytelling device, celebrating the rituals, flavors, and everyday moments that make Guaraná part of Brazilian culture.

The work also included a deep exploration of audience personas, tone of voice, and photographic direction, creating a richer and more contemporary expression of the brand while remaining faithful to its heritage.

The resulting brand book established a stronger and more cohesive identity system. The typographic approach remains part of the brand’s visual language today, while the evolution of the red frame opened new possibilities for communication across campaigns and brand experiences.

for CAREEM
The goal was to design a uniform that perfectly balances functionality, comfort, and brand identity for captains who spend over 10 hours a day on the road, often under extreme weather conditions exceeding 40°C in summer. It was essential to create something that not only provided comfort and protection but also became a strong visual symbol of the Careem brand on the streets.


Since Captains and Riders are essentially moving billboards across the city, we needed to ensure that the brand was represented with consistency, clarity, and distinction. The main challenge was to stand out in a highly competitive market, where other delivery brands had strong and recognizable identities. Through extensive research, testing, and iterations, we developed a minimal yet impactful design that reinforces Careem’s visual identity while ensuring everyday wearability.


The final design integrates advanced UV-protective and anti-odour fabrics, offering durability, breathability, and freshness throughout long shifts. The result was a remarkable leap in quality — both in material and design — setting a new standard in the market. The new uniform received exceptional feedback from Captains, customers, and the internal Careem team, marking a significant improvement of over a thousand per cent compared to the previous version and clearly standing out among competitors.

Juntos, Vamos Colorir o Brasil

During the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup in Brazil, Coca-Cola temporarily replaced its iconic red cans with the colours of the Brazilian flag for the first time in the brand’s history. “Juntos, Vamos Colorir o Brasil” transformed packaging, retail, OOH, and public activations into a large-scale celebration of national identity, collective participation, and emotional connection through design.

Challenge“Litore” means shoreline in Latin. The challenge was to create a brand that naturally evokes the sea, capturing the calm, sophistication, and sense of belonging that comes with living close to the ocean.


My RoleAs Creative Director, I led the project from concept to execution, developing the brand strategy, visual identity, graphic language, and comprehensive Brand Book. From the logo and digital experience to printed materials and brand touchpoints, every element was designed to create a cohesive and distinctive identity inspired by the serenity, authenticity, and timeless elegance of the Brazilian coastline.

for CAREEMAs head of the project, I led the brand transformation from Careem Groceries to Careem Quik, developing a scalable identity system capable of living across digital and physical environments while supporting rapid business growth across multiple markets.

The project extended far beyond a visual identity. My team and I were responsible for creating and implementing the entire brand experience, from the core identity and communication system to storefronts, fleet branding, delivery vehicles, packaging, shopping bags, uniforms, dark stores, marketing campaigns, and in-app communication.

The design system was built around the promise of freshness delivered in minutes, creating a flexible visual language that could scale across hundreds of touchpoints while maintaining consistency and strong brand recognition. Every element was designed to reinforce the same experience, whether customers encountered the brand through the app, a delivery vehicle on the street, a storefront facade, or a product arriving at their door.

The result was a unified brand ecosystem that helped establish Careem Quik as one of the region's leading quick commerce brands, creating a recognizable presence across cities while supporting the rapid expansion of the service throughout the Careem network.

Shareitt is a global platform created to foster meaningful connections and empower individuals and communities to co-create new opportunities for collaboration, creativity, and shared growth. Grounded in the principles of compassion, community, and collaboration, the brand was designed to support an ecosystem where ideas, relationships, and resources circulate freely.I was invited by Genau Design to lead the rebranding of Shareitt, overseeing the project from strategic development to final execution. To bring the vision to life, I assembled and directed a multidisciplinary team of specialists across brand strategy, design, and communication.



I led the project end to end, shaping the strategic narrative in close collaboration with the strategy team and overseeing the development of the visual identity, brand system, and comprehensive brand guidelines. The new identity was crafted to feel warm, human, and contemporary, while providing a flexible and scalable framework capable of adapting across digital products, communications, and community experiences.


Working closely with a carefully selected team assembled specifically for the project, we translated Shareitt’s vision into a cohesive brand system that balances emotional resonance with structural clarity. The result is a distinctive and scalable identity that enables teams to express the brand consistently across every touchpoint and supports Shareitt’s long-term growth and global ambitions.
